What is the key premise for the success of medical robot? What is the way to solve the problem of combination of industry, education, research and medicine? What is the policy direction of developing medical robots in Beijing?
On December 26, the third international medical robot innovation and development forum with the theme of "China's medical robot technology innovation achievements and development direction" was held in Beijing. Academicians, professors and experts from the cross fields of medicine and industry, as well as heads of relevant government departments, gathered together to solve the problems of innovation and entrepreneurship.
"Don't imitate and replace doctors, but to provide new (ability) help to doctors, we must refine the real shortcomings and needs." Tian Wei, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering and former president of Jishuitan Hospital, said.
Taking the typical successful case of "Tianji" orthopedic robot in the industry as an example, he explained that the robot has the ability of three-dimensional space vision, which is an inherent weakness of human beings. At the same time, with the help of robot, the orthopedic surgery route designed by human can be accurately realized. With the cooperation of human and computer, the robot can help to complete the complex surgery that was difficult for human doctors in the past, which has become an important reason for the successful acceptance of the robot in the market.
Before the large-scale popularization of medical robots, what problems need to be solved? Ouyang Jinsong, director of the Institute of comprehensive technology and economy of mechanical industry instruments, believes that safety is an important issue.
"In the first robotic heart valve repair operation in the UK, due to problems such as suture method, the camera became blurred after blood splashed out, resulting in many functional failures." He gave an example of the serious consequences of the safety problems of medical robots.
Ouyang Jinsong suggested that the policy level should immediately start to develop the functional safety standard system of medical robots, carry out the requirements from the top level, and establish the corresponding testing and certification experimental institutions. In addition, functional safety should be integrated into the design, production, operation, management and service of medical robot in the whole life cycle management process of the industry.
What is the policy environment for the development of medical robots in Beijing?
Jiang Guangzhi, deputy director of the Municipal Bureau of economy and information technology, gave the answer: "during the fourteenth Five Year Plan period, the high-end manufacturing industry and intelligent manufacturing industry of medical robots will become one of the key industries in Beijing. Jiang Guangzhi reminded, "the medical robot industry now has a very good momentum of development, but on the whole, it is still a" spark. "
In recent years, China's medical robot industry has entered a period of rapid development, and a large number of excellent R & D and production enterprises have emerged. Some products in some fields have achieved breakthroughs in self-developed domestic key parts, gradually moving from "following" to "running side by side" with international counterparts, and are expected to achieve overtaking at corners. However, the industry generally believes that the current medical robot industry "industry university research medicine" integration of industrial innovation chain linkage is insufficient, the overall efficiency is low, and there is still room for improvement in breaking technical barriers, strengthening the medical industry cross, shortening the product transformation cycle and other aspects.
What is the most critical factor to solve the problem of transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the cross fields of medicine and industry? Zhu Ping, general manager of Zhongguancun Science City Innovation and Development Co., Ltd., an industrial investment and ecological service platform specially established by Haidian District government, believes that the answer is "3 + 2 + 1" - three kinds of people, two funds and one mechanism.
"Three kinds of people" refer to doctors, scientific researchers and enterprise personnel: "the front-line doctors put forward the real needs encountered in clinical practice, the teachers and students of scientific research institutes will form papers and prototypes, and the entrepreneurial team will implement the results."
"Two kinds of funds" refers to one is the proof of concept funds, which is used to make samples and papers into products, and the other is the funds provided by the government, society and investment institutions.
Zhu Ping reminded that in the process of achievement landing, entrepreneurial teams need to be recognized by doctors, professors and other parties in terms of values, methodology and code of conduct. If they are not recognized by both parties, it is likely that product iteration and technological innovation will not continue.
The forum was jointly sponsored by Beijing medical robot industry innovation center, China Society of Biomedical Engineering, Beijing Tsinghua industrial development and Research Institute, Beijing Zhongguancun Science City Innovation and Development Co., Ltd., Zhongguancun Zhiyou Angel Research Institute, Beijing Jishuitan Hospital and Beijing Society of biomedical engineering.
